What is IPPC Pallet?

What Is IPPC Pallet?

The Innovative Process Product Conversion (IPPC) Pallet is a trademark of LHT. All IPPC pallets are exempted from heat treatment or fumigation and compliance to ISPM15 and are made wholly of process wood material.

IPPC Pallets are made of combination of laminated veneer lumber (LVL) and technical wood. Henceforth, it a better choice for palletized goods for shipment and export. These engineered wood product better know as manufactured wood which undergone stringent process, high steam and high press which technically justified of eliminating the wood pests during the process.

What is Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)? – Source From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) is an engineered wood product that uses multiple layers of thin wood assembled with adhesives. It offers several advantages over typical milled lumber: it is stronger, straighter, and more uniform. It is much less likely than conventional lumber to warp, twist, bow, or shrink due to its composite nature. Made in a factory under controlled specifications, LVL products allow users to reduce the onsite labor. They are typically used for headers, beams, rimboard, and edge-forming material.

What is Technical Wood (TW)?

TW is the trade mark of LHT Holdings. In 1999, LHT installed the first Germany technology recycling plant that could convert industrial wood waste to a new engineer compress wood and we name it as “Technical Wood”. For more information, you can visit www.technicalwood.com.sg.

By using Technical Wood, we are actually doing good deeds to the Earth by saving trees from cutting down unnecessary. As Technical Wood is made of recycled wood and we are basically putting effort in recycling the wood waste into ‘new wood’. Reducing the cutting of trees and reusing it for making into high stream products know as Greenflo Floorings & Doors. For more detail, you can visit www.greenflo.com . As for mid-stream, we use to make IPPC Pallets and other wood packaging materials (WPM).

On March 2011, a white paper was submitted for carbon footprint on Technical Wood make door also known as Greenflo Door by Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), a subsidiary of A’STAR, Singapore Research Centre. The paper on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was conducted on the Technical Wood on its carbon footprint. The white paper was published on Glocalized Solutions Sustainability in Manufacturing: Proceeding of the 18th CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering, Technische University Braunschweig, Braunnschweig Germany, May 2nd – 4th, 2011
